August 24th, 2008Intex IN 5050 - The Dual Phone
CDMA seems to be the buzzword now. Intex Technologies has made its debut in the CDMA market with its dual SIM (GSM + CDMA) handset - IN 5050, a candy-bar model.
It allows users to multi-task by installing two separate SIM cards of two different service providers allowing them to make a shift between the two without switching off the mobile.
The call flashes details about the SIM card along with other details. The other duals in the phone include Dual Stand By Mode and Dual Speakers for a clear, high quality audio.
The phone has an in-built FM, MP3 and MP4 player, a 1.3mp camera and is Bluetooth enabled with MMS and WAP services, supports 2GB T-Flash card with a battery backup of 130hrs on standby mode and talk time of 160 mins. It carries a 1GB memory card, extra battery and a portable battery charger. It has a phonebook with a capacity of 1000 numbers and an SMS capacity of up to 400.
The handset weighs 88gms and and is priced at Rs 7200.
We have always tried to separate the conjoined twins but this is one we would like to keep and improve with time.
