Sony Ericsson on Thursday launched R300 Radio phone in India. The phone is Sony Ericsson’s first made in India Radio phone. The phone is expected to draw the entry-level buyers in small towns.
The R300 Radio phone has a radio-inspired design with volume enhancers. It is also one of the first Radio phones in India to have both the FM and AM frequencies.
The R300 will be retailed at Rs. 4,395 in two-tier and three-tier cities. Sony Ericsson too like other mobile phone companies wants to tap the immense growth potential of the mobile phone markets in the small towns and cities.
The phone will be offered with a 1.3 Mega pixel camera for Rs. 6,000, some time later in the year, in an effort to strengthen Sony Ericsson’s hold in the markets.
