Sony Ericsson has delivered the walkman range for all and the release of W302 proves it. This is going to be the cheapest of the bunch with modest specifications, yet a very attractive and affordable phone to hit the stands.
It comes with a TFT display of resolution 176×220, has a 2mp camera with 2.5x digital zoom, picture blogging and video recording features, 20mb internal memory, expandable memory slot supporting Micro M2 memory cards of up to 8 GB, a built in Walkman music player with PlayNow download feature, TrackID, FM/AM radio with the RDS feature, has USB, Bluetooth, PictBridge, supports EDGE. This quad band technology handset covers four GSM networks but the network coverage is dependent on the users chosen network provider.
The W302 comes with all the messaging features enabling easy communication - sms, IM, email, MMS and predictive text input, it supports Java games enriching the gaming experience with a 3D effect, has a flight mode option, has timer, stopwatch and alarm clock features.
The compact slim styled casing of W302 made from aluminum is available in a choice of two colours - midnight black color or a sparkling white colored casing. The handset is which is 10.5mm deep and weighs 78gms with the battery is expected in the market in the Q4 2008. So anytime now - countdown starts.
