Blackberry Passport marks the beginning of an era of square shaped Smartphones and is a phone which might bring Blackberry back onto the hands of the customers. But does the price tag of Rs. 49990 complement the features that it has? Read on to find out
Blackberry Passport is aptly named as it comes in the shape of one and sports a display screen of 4.5 inches offering a resolution count of 1440×1440 pixels. There is a 3 rowed keyboard under the display and the overall look is nothing like anything you have seen before. The device comes with a 13 MP rear camera with auto focus and LED flash. There is a 2 MP snapper on the front as well and does a decent job, especially when compared to that of HTC Mobiles Butterfly S.
Under the hood is a quad core 2.26 GHz Krait Qualcomm Snapdragon processor which is clubbed with a 3 GB RAM. The device runs on Blackberry 10.3 OS which is the latest BB10 OS version. Ofcourse, you just cannot compare this OS to that of Apple OS but it does deserve credit for its improved functionality. A massive 3450 mAh battery is also installed in and provides an acceptable performance. Overall, the phone may seem a bit overpriced but is also something unique.
