September 2nd, 2008Is SE’s Xperia X1 delayed?

Sony Ericsson’s Xperia X1 is put on hold until January 2009.

The Register reports a delay and shows the Sony Ericsson site page where the release date says January 2009. An interview with a Sony Ericsson representative confirms this delay, it says.
The reason cited for the delay is compatibility issues with Windows Mobile 6.1.

X1 was announced to be released in second half of 2008 but in March the site indicated a February 2009 release which was later quashed as website error. And now the delay, which seems to be official. Lets see what news reaches us next.
