iphone 3G

iphone 3G

Apple iphone 3G will cost us Rs 31,000 for a 8 GB and Rs 36,100 for 18 GB version.

iphone 3G will be launched on 22nd August through Vodafone and Airtel and they are expecting to sell around 1 lakh mobile phones in next 12 months.

Though the latest iphone looks and functions great with the latest technology like 3.6 times faster downloads, GPS, viewing videos and much faster Internet browsing, its very expensive especially compared to American markets where prices start at only Rs 8,500.

Though the demand in India is good with more than 10,000 bookings the prices are bound to drop to attract more buyers.

We really do not know why its so expensive in India, even Steve Jobs the CEO of Apple said in the iphone 3g launching video (see below) that the iphone 3G will be launched in 70 countries at the price of $199.00 for 8GB version.

Out of all the phones in the market other than some business phones like blackberry noting is going to beat iphone 3G in near future, it just feels and functions really good.

If you want to know what’s so great about Iphone 3G watch what Steve Jobs have to say in the iphone 3g video :
