Blackberry has added yet another feather to its cap - The BOLD. RIM announced the launching of this smart phone which has already got carriers competing with each other.
The BOLD comes with a wealth of functionalities.It’s the first Blackberry phone to support tri-band HSDPA networks, with integrated GPS, Wi-Fi and a new full-QWERTY keyboard.Here’s a picture of the phone.
It comes with a 1GB internal storage memory and a microSD/SDHC expansion memory slot and a 624 MHZ processor.All this ensures good storage capacity and speedier work(business). Bold’s half-VGA(480×320 resolution) color LCD screen makes it the first high resolution display screen introduced on a Blackberry smart phone. It also features a 2MP camera with video recording capability, built in flash and a digital zoom. The media player which comes along keeps entertainment on the go - displays pictures and slideshows, plays moview in full screen mode and manages an entire music collection.
With the Blackberry’s enterprise solution one can stay connected while exchanging emails or accessing the web.Blackberry BOLD smart phone also allows users to download Word, Excel, PowerPoint files which can be saved to the handset and edited too
All these features make it an effective workstation away from home.
It also supports different language groups through its different configurations - AZERTY and QWERTZ.
The smart phone comes along with accessories including a stereo headset, travel charger, carrying case or sleeve, and USB cable. Users will also be able to personalize their BlackBerry Bold smart phone by purchasing replaceable leather-like back-plates that come in a range of colors. According to RIM, the removable/rechargeable 1500 mAhr battery provides multi-hour usage with a target talk time of approximately 5 hours and 13 days standby time.
Heard:- MicroSD/SDHC memory cards are available today in configurations of up to 8GB and the BlackBerry Bold is expected to support upcoming 16GB microSD/SDHC cards.
