Sony Ericsson has rechristened W707 as Alicia. This new clamshell design walkman mobile phone had appeared some time ago. Its release got cancelled and it has resurfaced again with the news that it is now going to be released under the name Sony Ericsson’s Alicia and not the official name Sony Ericsson W707.

Sony Ericsson finally ends the drama of the release of XPERIA X1. September 30th is announced as the date of release and the first lucky ones to lay their hands on this fine piece will be from Sweden, Germany and UK.

32 more countries in Asia, Europe, Middle East, Africa and Latin America will see the Xperia X1 launch. North America, China, Australia and Russia are also the privileged launch regions, though dates for the launch in these regions are still to be announced in the coming months.
